The fourth letter from Clise
Hi, there!
It has been a long time. How have you been? Hope everything’s going well with you.
I was busy these days since lots of the students around me were preparing for probably the most important examination in their lives, the National Center Test for University Admissions.
What do you think about the TEST? It is fair for most people without any doubt. But you have to say that it’s also hard to shape one’s course in life at one shot, isn’t it? Students who learn for years should get more opportunities to express themselves.
Actually, I think that’s the reason why the Educational department of Japan decided to reform the entrance examination system. It could be a type of time-consuming work, but I believe it will turn out the way we all expect in the long run.
Take English for example, as a language it should be learned more practically. Students can have an open-ended discussion in the class, or work in a group to make a simple report after some surveys. Language learning could be fun, not always just some paper tests.
Anyway, what’s your opinion on the TEST? Find some way to tell me!
I’m Clise, and see you next!
